The collision protection radar sensors of the German company TITZE are very compact ON-OFF sensors (100x100x42 mm), which emit a cone of radar waves with emission frequencies from 24.00 to 24.25 GHz, in compliance with European radio emission standards.

When an object moves in the field of the sensor’s cone of emission it is intercepted, and an alarm signal is activated.

They are mainly used in harsh industrial environments as they are unaffected by dirt, light and vibrations, where the use of photoelectric or ultrasonic sensors is problematic.

They also have an extended range of operating temperatures (from -40°C to +80°C) so they are particularly suitable for outdoor applications such as the control of cranes and bridge cranes (aka overhead cranes) on port docks, as well as for collision protection applications in metal factories, steel plants, cement factories, etc. For example, mounted on AGVs and bridge cranes.

Total sensor protection: IP67
